Who I am. What I build.
I design ways to learn and test skill that still work when time, money, and attention are scarce — then ship them as a product at The Cognition Factory.
This is a personal overview — not the product site. Product, research, and institutional paths live at thecognitionfactory.com.
About
Background
I started in electrical engineering — digital signal processing — where the habit is simple: find what always holds, then pressure-test the weak links.
Later I moved into accounting credentials and enterprise systems work: Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain consulting, with further depth across SAP and Oracle environments. Those rooms reward precise explanations; fuzzy ones fail exams and client work alike.
At home I’m a father of five. Three of our children have complex care plans. That isn’t a pitch — it’s the operating reality that shaped how I design: methods have to survive interruption, incomplete attention, and hard deadlines. If it only works in a quiet four-hour block, it doesn’t work.
The question I optimize for. Can you still do the work a month later — or did you only finish the material?
Path
How I got here
Four chapters. Each raised the cost of unclear structure.
- 1 · Engineering Signal-processing work: isolate what is solid, then stress what isn’t.
- 2 · Real constraints Family and care logistics ruled out anything that only works without interruption. Clean restarts became mandatory, not nice-to-have.
- 3 · Hard domains Accounting and ERP delivery — where vague understanding shows up under exam pressure and in production systems.
- 4 · Product The Cognition Factory: structured deep learning, honest practice under pressure, and a way to save your place so next session isn’t a cold start.
Work
The Cognition Factory
FounderMost learning tools pile on more content. I build the opposite: a clear map of what matters, practice that tells you the truth, and handoffs so progress survives a busy life.
The platform is for adults with a real outcome in mind, and for organizations that need skill on the job — not hours logged.
Detail, research, and how to engage live on the product site. This page is the short version of who built it.
